Our workshops and training programs cover a variety of topics, some of which are open to the public. We offer sessions on Nonviolent Communication (NVC) or authentic communication, workshops on communication with children (for the general public and school staff), as well as massage workshops for couples and babies. These programs are designed to improve interpersonal skills and overall well-being.
What is Nonviolent Communication (NVC) or Authentic Communication?
Nonviolent Communication is more than just a method; it’s an invitation to communicate everyone’s needs with awareness and kindness, focusing on what is alive within each of us. The steps to effectively communicate our feelings and needs are just as important as how we receive the messages conveyed by the feelings and needs of others, even if they are not explicitly expressed. NVC encourages understanding of what is going on inside ourselves and others. It helps us understand ourselves better, express ourselves clearly, listen more deeply, and co-create relationships by making requests and reaching agreements. Empathy and self-empathy are at the heart of NVC.
Marshall B. Rosenberg, PhD, founded NVC in the 1960s and taught it in 60 countries. Although he has passed away, a vibrant community continues to spread Rosenberg’s approach.
